Pictures at an Exhibition

This album is humbly recorded during my second semester at Berklee College of music. Everything was recorded using an iPhone at 1am in empty Berklee classrooms. Nothing but me, an upright piano, and some artwork.
In high school I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Europe and visit the Louvre in Paris, the Uffizi Gallery in Florence and a few other places in Rome, London, Florence and Pisa. A couple pieces stood out to me so I took photos of them and later used them for this album. Later I also visited the History of Fine arts Museum in Boston and found the concept for this album. Purely improved music based on famous pieces of art, hence the name Pictures at an exhibition. Since traveling back to Europe wasn't as feasible I spent a few hours at the Boston museum every week in order to find a musical idea. Then I'd hold onto it until I could recorded piano inspired by that idea.
It may not be high quality recording or performance. But as I said in my high school senior recital, music doesn't have to be perfect to evoke an emotion.
