About Me
Background
Born and raised in Boise Idaho, I grew up playing classical piano. I didn't commit to music as a career till senior year when I started looking into film soundtracks. My next step was moving to Boston to study at Berklee college of music where I majored in film scoring and minored in video game scoring. I worked hard through the pandemic and graduated a year early in 2022.
The first thing you should know about me is that I like to be involved. While I am mainly a composer I naturally got involved in several other things during my Berklee studies. I joined stage crew my 3rd semester and started mixing live concerts for both students and touring artists. I also got involved as a lighting director at the Berklee Performance Center. I also assisted classmates majoring in Music production and engineering with their recording sessions and capstone projects in the Berklee studios. On top of this and my own studies, I lead the Film scoring club at Berklee, interviewing professionals and holding workshops for other students in the major.
Inspirations
Jacob Collier, Olafur Arnolds, Joe Hisaishi, Austin Wintory, Ludwig Göransson and other romantic pianists such as Rachmaninov, Ravel and Debussy.
Goals
After graduating I really want to explore different forms of media and get involved in communities that make any of the following: game development with adaptive music (using Unreal Engine, Unity Wwise, etc), films, animations, art installations, chamber music, orchestral concerts, concert operations, lighting, and more. Overall I am keeping an open mind for multiple ways of making music and media.
